The difference is that people here make shit up and throw it out. At peas they expect you to back up what you say about a person, here you can post whatever crap you want and it's accepted as fact. You can make up stories about their families or their past, claim they've done things to you, and be as nasty as you like and have no accountability.

She pulled it rather fast so I think a lot of people just thought it was made up. Someone copied and pasted a lot of it in the comments though. I am not really sure who believed it and who didn't. IMO you can blame that on ALL the drama queens who have graced the boards. Yvonne and Ruth are victims of people who have been burned way to many times. If I didn't *know* them both well enough I'd think they were faking because thier stories sound so much like the fake ones. I do get what you are saying. I have never posted anything here or at peas that was mean spirited or cruel. I also refuse to sign my name in fear of getting the full blog treatment. My posts here consist consist of questioning behavior and asking people why they see the need to be cruel. My only hope is that I may be able to get through to one person before they post something that is hurtful to another person.
I'm sure it's a waste of time, but I really don't see the need to tell someone that their baby is ugly, or that they are stupid when they are scared out of their mind.
Yes we all know that we shouldn't go post at peas if our kiddo gets hurt, and I will never do it, but sometimes when you can't get anyone on the phone and you are waiting to go to the doctors office, it's nice to have some reassurance, or to know that someone is thinking of you.
The fact is that we do not all agree on who we like or dislike, and someone that rubs you the wrong way could be a great person in public. I personally don't get all the threads about ScrapBrooker. She posts a lot but she's never been mean or cruel. She seems to bother a lot of people here, however there are many more who like her. In case anyone who posted reads this... I'll just say that I'll update you and ask you how big of a scam it is when my DH is making 6 figures a year and we're both stay at home parents. And risidual income! I love making money on vacation.
I've seen too many of our close personal friends become succesful to know that it is possible. I'm not talking about millionare status, but quite comfortable and staying home with the kids. I can't wait.
It is because so many people drop out in the first couple years that they don't make money. The ones that stick with it are the ones who become succesful. I truly believe in my husband.
He does have a business plan. We've since set up a business budget, upon the good advice I got here, so I think it will work out well. He also does have an 8-5 job that makes enough money for us to survive comfortably, without me working. This is just on the side, and will eventually take over, so we can both stay home.
Oh, and if you used the word "pyramid" you might want to look the definition of a pyramid scheme up in the dictionary. Oh, and not to mention pyramid schemes are illegal, and I don't think they usually let illegal companies on the New York Stock Exchange.

The sick, the hungry babies, the tired and the wounded, the lost, the dazed and the ones who cry because they are still missing someone from the wrath of god. Having to watch as your child drowns or not knowing where they ended up at.
