Just because somebody does not have insurance mean they can't educate themselves about thier health. There a hundreds of books available written by DOCTORS that can be used for information.

It's not only the medical questions that bug me...it's the COMMON SENSE stuff that kills me. It makes me wonder how some of these women got pregnant in the first place. They do know that their baby is going to come out of the same hole their husband's penis went in right?

Sometimes posting at peas can help you find direction for a web search. I have had times when I couldn't quite phrase what I wanted to say in a google friendly way. After consulting with the peas I was able to narrow down my search and find out the information I needed.
I've got great health insurance, however there's nothing more annoying than going to the ER, spending 4 hours waiting, being seen and going home, only to realize that you didn't ask the doctor the right questions. I've had situations where I was able to point my research in the right direction, find out more information and have an informed discussion with my doctor thanks to help I got at peas.
It's not my only place to find information but when you are freaking out it can give you a good start.
My favorites are when the kid has blood spurting out of a place blood shouldn't be spurting out of...and they are on 2peas wondering whether they should take the kid to the Dr./ER. I seriously don't understand how these people's kids are still alive.
