Cara in Tx acting as though her "special guy" works at a 2 year olds level. Cara, your son seems to be a pretty smart kid. Why do you dumb him down to people so much? Is it so that people think his accomplishments are much greater than they really are? He did a great job on that cake. I wouldn't expect a non autistic child his age to do any better. So are we suppose to believe that this is just an amazing cake done by an autistic child whose mother acts as though he can't do anything above a first grade level? Stop presenting your kid to people like everything he does is just an amazing miracle because he is autistic.
The drama curse is still following supermom_ttf I see. Put your family in a freaking bubble out in the middle of no where and don't tell anyone where you are. That should clear up the black cloud that seems to follow not only you, but every member of your damn family.
Slower Joe still thinks he is the shit (see avatar). I have stated my feelings about Joe many times on the blog. My opinion of him just keeps getting worse and worse as he continues on at 2 peas.
Mothers wanting to put their kids in a position of defiance against school rules. Yeah, yeah - there is no rule that they can't dress as the mother wants her to dress, but the mother is doing this with a "We'll show you" attitude. Great thing to be teaching your kids.

Parents punishing their kids when their best isn't good enough. Lady you said yourself that the kid is a good student. You know she is studying because you are doing it with her. You see that she knows the work. She gets a bad grade and you punish her for it? What a wicked mother you are. If you are going to punish a kid for bad grades, do it because they were being lazy or just not wanting to study. You don't punish a kid that you know is trying hard.

I cringe every time I see Cara refer to her son as "special guy". I sincerely hope she doesn't treat him like that in real life. I see a lot of people on 2peas exploiting their their disabled or sick kids. Cara seems to post things as a way of giving herself a pat on the back. Also that pea with the photo of her son in the hospital with tubes... is exploiting that poor child to garner sympathy for herself.

It takes a bunch of steps to delete a blog on blogger, it's not something you "accidently" stumble on when you're drunk.

I think she just uses "special guy" with us so that we know she's talking about The Autistic One, so that when she is speaking joyfully about some "ordinary" thing he's done, we'll understand why it's not ordinary at all (for him).
However, when I speak about my loved ones with disabilities, I refer to them by name, then name the disability. I'm not sure why Cara feels it is necessary to give his disability a nickname. Why can't she just say, "My younger DS, Noah, who has autism..."?

No it doesn't. The "Delete Blog" button is RIGHT below the "Save Settings" button, when you're modifying your settings, and then it pops up a "Are you sure" window.
Trust me, I know exactly what it takes to delete a blog, because I just accidently did it.
I was turning off the word verification, not paying attention because I was watching a movie on one of my other monitors and typing an e-mail on the middle one... and working my 4th beer... clicked the wrong button, and I was typing when the "warning" window popped up... spacebar is also used to denote a mouse-click for the highlighted item in a popup window. It happened to be "Yes". Buh-bye blog.
And I'm not drunk, thanks.

I think the poster meant they identify the disability when it is an applicable detail. Such as if you were telling a story about your 8 year old who went down the slide for the first time people would think it was not that unusual because most 8 year olds do that.
No big deal unless you include the fact that your 8 year old has a disability, such as autism, that makes this something special.

My family has a severely autistic child, no way could he ever decorate a cake, at all. I think she fudges on his spectrum bit much, (rolls eyes for all the parents of children that are truly disabled, you know, ones that can't even be a boy scout whereas it is physically and mentally impossible?)
